frame extensions

I'm in the process of splitting a full bumper into two and fabricating frame extensions. Can anyone tell me the correct extension length I need for a LU4 mount on a M37? I have a MU2 and associated frame extensions from a power wagon but the extensions seen too long and bolt patterns are all messed up for M37 frame. Are MU2 extensions for a powerwagon longer than LU4 extensions for a M37? Thanks
