I have seen this type of connector listed in the Standard Motor Parts wire products buyer's guide, but I have neither used nor sold them. I have gone as far as using uninsulated butt connectors and crimping them before filling the connector with solder for extra heavy service connections. I do like to have as much physical contact of the wire strands as is practical, and there is something to be said for having some mechanical fixing of the joint(crimp, or twist, at least) just so the solder isn't the only thing binding the jointed ends. I can certainly hook you up :-) with the solder impregnated connectors, or give you a p/n if need be, but, personally, there is something intrinsically wonderful about executing durable, artful solder joints. And heat shrink tubing has got to be one of the most delightful inventions ever.
