Great debate .... love those technical discussions.
Question for all our techies .... when you say the stroke is different... where does the difference come from?
Is it all in the structure of the crankshaft with a 1/4 longer throw or is part of it in the connecting rod lenght??
The reason for asking is that I will be rebuilding a flat six using the best parts from 3 engines. all of which are "supposed to be" 251c.i.
Do I only need to change the crank shaft? will I need to releive the block on the inside from crank shaft clearance?
And while on Great Debate... I have some civilian engines stamped T309 .... probably of 1951 Dodge p/u vintage... does it make sense???
