Purchasing a PW long distance

I am kicking around buying another W200 that is 1/2 across the country, so I will need it transported. How would you handle a long distance purchase like this? I don't have time to go after it myself, but I would take a long weekend and fly out to look at it. Would you use an escrow service for the funds (put the funds in escrow until the pickup arrives via transporter and has all of the parts that I saw on it when I viewed it?) Or is there a better way to make certain that what I see is what arrives at my home?
