I just have to vent my anger concerning idiots who claim to be able to dismount tires from locking "split" rims. I picked up my tires and rims from a tire dealer and behold, dents in the locking ring. The owner claims he know of no other way than to strike the edge of the ring with a heavy hammer. I mentioned perhaps a wood drift between would help. He seemed perplexed. Am I nuts or what. Do the rings have to be struck directly and therefore dented. I guess will be getting replacements. I of course did not give the man a dime. Perhaps I should get compensation? Comments please.
