At the link you have an image of the springs. The ones with the curved "S" end is for the door lock handle, the long straight is for the door latch bolt. I've never had one apart, and I would think the spring pushes down on the bolt so when you turn the handle it brings the bolt up putting tension on the spring to release the door. Look for a worn spot on the bolt, that should be where the end of the spring rides. The springs can be cut or reshaped as needed. If the split anchor that holds the spring breaks, you might be able to drill a 1/8 hole on each side and use 1/8 wire to secure the spring, else you'll have to by a new remote control.
