The engine will work just fine. Just remember parts are not cheap, the engine is noisy and vibrates quite a lot. I head studded mine and run compound turbos with no pump mods and it perked things up without creating issues. The heads have a habit of cracking if it has the early 9mm injectors. It is easy to work on but I needed a 20 over sized head gasket and the only one found was more or less in Florida and other companies wanted a 6 month lead time
