As far as shifting goes, it Takes Practice.
It does shift easier when cold,because the thick oil is acting like a synchronizer.
You have to learn yourself to always double clutch.
With that said slowing your mind down to the truck speed also goes a long way.
Shifting too fast is a huge mistake most make.
Wheel tracks have been around a long time.
Still to this day they are Huge in the oil field and construction industry.
