I just checked my Power Wagon parts book (1947- 1956). There are no diagrams of the check arm system, but the parts are listed.

I suspect that the last item “Stop body hinge pillar bumper” is the part we are talking about. There is a rubber bumper on the arm but I suspect that it is included with or is considered part of the arm.
