I think the trick was wearing a PowerWagon t-shirt! Or maybe...I measured and determined the issue was entering the pilot bearing. I was able to insert the clutch alignment tool, but it was a bit tight. SO i suspected a slight misalignment. So, I took Vaughn's suggestion and pushed in the clutch, and it slipped right in! So, freeing up the clutch disk allowed it all to line up.
