I have a 56 PW and have two square washers under the radiator support that came with the truck. I've searched the 47-56 Manual, W300M Manual, M601, G502, and G507 manuals, none show a washer under the support except for the G507 (WC 1.5 ton), part# 120390. I know others on the forum have mentioned these washers. The washer is 7/64 thick, just under 1/8 thick. Here is the Military specs. for that washer:

Hole Diameter 0.562 inches nominal
Peripheral Shape Style Round
Center Hole Shape Style Round
Thickness 0.109 inches nominal
Overall Diameter 1.375 inches nominal
Surface Treatment Cadmium overall or zinc overall
You can buy them most any place just make sure the thickness is correct, they are used on Case tractors so you might want to start there. These would be the washers I would install under the support. I believe they might be used for proper height of the hood and some side flexibility for the support.
