I remember now when I worked on Marcel's M37 they were threaded in, sorry, it's been a while. The bolts are grade 12, Hardness rating of 58 Rockwell C, 1020 steel, and the place I go to get HSS tough taps and cutters is KnKut, see link. You probably want to contact them and discuss what your doing to ensure they have a product that will work. As a last resort you could heat what is left cherry red to soften it, but that would be my last resort in an attempt to get it out. Good luck with it.
