I recently purchased an 11000 watt dual fuel generator with remote start featur. I'm trying to make things a little easier in our old age, commonly mis-represented by the term "golden years".
Anyway this thing has a CO sensor. Due to the generator being in a small covered enclosure the sensor occasionally causes the generator to stop running. It's well away from our house (over 25') so I'm not concerned about the CO risks.
Doing some research I find that disonnecting the sensor would prevent the generator running.
I'm thinking of placing a small fan beside the generator that would turn on if I start the generator. Will this work to disperse any CO that might otherwise be note by the sensor?
Thanks for your ideas.
