Pull #1 spark plug hold your thumb over
The hole and have someone crank the engine.
Stop when compression pushes your thumb.
Check location of rotor and timing mark if you want.
There is also a small plug in the head at #6
Cylinder to insert a wire on top of piston, but I usually have bad luck getting it out so I don't bother besides you don't know what stroke it's on.
