Steering Column Remove/Install

I pulled my 66 FFPW motor out with trans attached, by putting about 6" of spacers under the cab mounts. Ive now decided I want to take the cab off after all. I unbolted the steering box and was easily able to get the box+column+steering wheel out.

When I reassemble, I'd like to put motor and trans in first, with the cab off. What is the best way to do this? My lifting equipment is three friends.

Can I strap the column/box+wheel into the cab and then lift that onto the frame, or is that just too tricky to maneuver with the motor in?
