I have been using a CENEX product called EZ Flow Lithium grease, which seems to be equivalent to JD Cornhead grease, in my steering boxes, winch gear housings and closed knuckles for over 30 years with complete success. I still have the Ford that I started with using it. I now use Cornhead grease because i's easier to find and it comes in a tube that fits my grease gun.
