There probably be some that disagree with this, but here it goes:
- Boards have to be 1 inch thick.
- You need a 1/4 inch pad under each cross member except for the one with the rubber free pad over the tank. You need this for clearance over the tank and it doesn't affect mounting the fenders on the rear bracket.
- I used 1/8 inch tank steel for my bed supported by 3/4 inch wood on top of the crossmembers to make the 1 inch needed.
