Do you have the A-frame that came with your truck? I am familiar with the various three legged pole derricks that were available. They typically mounted with two legs to pad eyes on the frame extensions on either side of the winch, and a third telescopic leg to another pad eye on the passenger side fender with bracing to the frame of the truck underneath.
I cannot tell from your images where an A-frame may have been mounted to the front of either truck. Just curious as I have seen similar front fairleads used with a rear mounted A-frame to allow the front winch cable to be routed up and over the cab.
