Fuel Gauge Info (1946 Power Wagon)

Hi, good to meet you all!

I am working on a customers 1946 Power Wagon of which is now a 12v system. It has a custom fuel cell to which and I am adding a fuel level sending unit.

I have a few questions:

1) What is the resistance range required to properly run this gauge?

2) There are 3 connections on the rear of the gauge. IGN SW is clearly marked, but the other two are marked 1 and 2. Can anyone fill me in on what each goes too?

3) I am assuming the gauge may have an issue is 12v is applied and I should buck to voltage down to 6v?
