If its an actual M37 distributer you will need to pull all the screws out around the casing and remove the case top.

Note the wires and where everything was when you opened it up. Snap a pic with your cell phone for later.

Now you can get at the points and remove them.

Replace the points, roll the crank 'til your sitting on a lobe. Points fully open.

Now adjust the points 'till you have the correct gap. Forget what that was.. /032"? .016"? It'll be in a manual somewhere.

Correct gap set, adjuster locked down?

Replace the rotor and whatever else you monkeyed with in there. Check you picture to make sure.

Put the top back on and screw down the screws.

See if it starts. If it does you can work on setting the timing. I always set mine to 4 btc. Some like different settings.
