Am assembling a winch that was given to me. The "bearing leg" that holds the non-driven end of the drum shaft has a grease fitting on top but there is NO corresponding hole in the copper bushing directly under the zerk fitting. The hole is actually 180 degrees opposite the zerk at bottom of the bushing. Should that hole line up w the fitting? Or does the grease flow behind the bushing and come up from the bottom? I am wondering if the bushing was installed incorrectly or might it have "spun" while in the leg. If it is incorrect can I drill a hole under the zerk to correct it or does it have to be pressed out and rotated?
Thanks,
