I got a message from a young fellow (#1)trying to buy his first Power Wagon. There is a guy who frequents this Forum (#2) who had located him one near his home owned by a different gentleman (#3). The next closest one #1 had even heard of was over 350 miles away. #2 would only give the kid the phone number of #3 if he paid him a $500 finders fee since the asking price of the truck is such a "good deal"!
I'm sorry, but I think this is total Horsecrap.
If you find a truck and want to make a buck on it you should at least take some risk and buy it yourself, remove it from the premises, and get it cleaned up and running or something. Not just hammering a starry eyed kid for 5 bills because you have a nice little network of contacts and he is new. Seems like everybody wants something for nothing, and that has been going both ways recently. When I first got into PW's I got royally boned on a couple of deals from some well known names in the fold, (not VPW) and I promised I would never do business that way to anyone. Lets keep this a fun hobby and not a PW brokerage house.
You know who you are and I know who you are, keep that crap up and everyone else will figure out who you are also.
