I think you are correct regarding the M880 being the same as the W200, however I do dissagree with you regarding the operation of the NP203 transfer case as it pertains to the Dodge full time four wheel drive systems. The HI LOC and LO LOC positions lock out the transfer case differential which basically locks the front and rear axles together. When in HI or LOW the transfer case differential is open allowing the front axle to compensate for the differing tire speeds during corning. Whether in the LOC position or not the truck will still be in 4 wheel drive, regardless of the speed. The owers manual of my W150 states "The NP203 Transfer Case provides continious 4-wheel drive operation. No provision is made for 2-wheel drive operation at any time". I have had sevseral Dodges with this setup and have found them to be very reliable given proper care.
