I hear you Jerry. Some of the worst paint jobs I have seen have been on fire trucks. But then consider that most of the trucks we are looking at, including this one, were in the fleet at a volunteer fire department. Those departments normally do not have a lot of spare money in the budget to spend on a "good" paint job. Many times it is one of the volunteer firemen themselves who paints the truck in their free time with whatever color that particular locality uses.
Here is pictured one of the worst paint jobs I have ever seen on a fire truck.
