I really think there is a general problem with trailer tires. So many people are having problems with them. The term China Bomb is there for some reason. Many people online have stated that moving to an E or G rated light truck tire solved their incessant trailer tire problems. I really suspect the Chinese trailer tires have inherent structural issues based on the large number of online comments.

I suspect that a lot of the flat tires that you seen these days is caused by people who have no clue about car or tire maintenance. They run them until they find themselves on the side of the road. Tires are made with different materials and are lighter weight than when i grew up. However, they are now much better handling today but the rubber doesn’t seem last as long (ie six year replacement rule). I suspect, in part, that the rubber issue is due to the change in composition that were made for better traction and adhesion with the road. We are also traveling at higher speeds.
