This past weekend, drove the power wagon up to the Sierra County for the maiden voyage with my 2 kids. On the way back the u-joint went boom, then a lot of shuddering and vibration. Limped in to North San Juan in 2nd gear, fueled up and parked on the flat for further investigation and saw that it was the u-joint coming out of the transmission. Found some u-joints that were included with the purchase of the truck and one fit, I just changed the 2 caps that were damaged. Back on the road to SF Bay Area successfully. It looks like there are different kinds of u-joints and I would like to get some spares. No luck getting a parts book. Without taking everything apart does anyone know which ones to purchase?
