I had some comments/theories that the fuel pump didn't have to work as hard with the auxiliary tank positioned higher than the pump/original fuel tank. I hung the aux tank right next to the orig tank so all the lines leading to the pump, are in the fuel circuit, the aux tank was slightly lower and the only thing out of the equation is the original gas tank. Ran fine on the freeway for 8 miles and back home on surface streets. This was a longer trip than the last time it failed with the orig tank. Time to drop the orig tank.
