Steering shaft & Dash Not Lining Up

I am restoring a FFPW. The frame is a 1949, The steering box is from a 1951, and the cab is a 1954. The cab fits perfectly to the frame and the 4 hold down bolts are in correctly.

The steering shaft is down 4 inches and to the right 1 1/2 inches from lining up with the indentation in the dash where is should fit into the hold down bracket. Is this a result of changes in cab configuration in later FFPW's? I do not see any problems with the steering box mating with the frame.
