the WW 2 military WC 3/4 tons had studs. they are better than bolts but if you need to pull head for anything the studs are more of a hassle. these engines are low compression so bolts IMO are fine. If I was restoring a WW2 dodge I would run the studs.
NOS or new studs area available from VPW I believe
