I've determined the 230 that came with it is not original to the truck (1/2 ton WC motor from the 1940's SN starts with 215.) So I'm feeling good about upgrading to Cummins power, OD transmission, 4.89 gearing and front disc brakes. Quick "thank you" to Paul in NY, who has been a great resource for planning this out.
