Now that you mention white oak, I'm going to investigate what it looks like as it weathers. The truck will spend most winters under cover, so it won't have snow sitting in the bed. That's what kills wood out here. And 1x10 boards are readily available, so I don't need to glue up the side boards. Thanks for the tip Doc!
