I thought I checked the gearing when I first bought the truck and convinced my self that it was 5.96. So much so that during the build I found two 4.89 pumpkins to install at a later date. I just ordered a tach and will also check the ratio by spinning a tire and watching the driveshaft. The tach is just a toy. I can tell when to shift without it.
