With all the fiber and rubber bumpers properly located under all five cross members, and the bed wood and metal strips bolted down, I have a crown in the floor.
The three center cross members are level and even with each other, the front cross member is 1/2 inch lower and the rear cross member is 3/4 inch lower than the center three cross members.
1. Anyone else ever seen this?
2. Should I shim the front and rear cross members to the level them out with the other three?
I thought about using oak blocks as shims.
I also thought about using aluminum bar stock I have as shims.
I also thought about shaving the fiber and rubber bumpers under the three center cross members to the hight of the lower members.
