First, check the head and block for flatness. I think 0.006" is the max allowable, but double check that number.
I use spray-on copper gasket sealant on my head gaskets. I do both sides, and spray each side twice. It is also recommended to retorque the head bolts after 500 miles.
I wish Dodge had designed the motors so that the cylinders were all equal distance from each other. The head gaskets often fail between the close pairs of cylinders.
