I took a look at your upcoming " Washington State back road epic" and am wondering how far you plan on traveling each day and for how long. These are dirt back roads and you need to take a break while driving.
So what does your math say?
I am taking off for a trip next week in my carryall. I started building a rear tire rack. Of course there are no parts around here so I will end up driving over to the mainland tomorrow and riding or waiting for the ferry for hours on end.
I just jacked up the tire to see how it would look. All I can say is I had a laugh. i am not sure if it will grow on me or I will get used to it but the tire sure looks out of place back there. I think it would work better parked on a roof rack. The only place it looks worse is parked on the side. it sticks out too far and looks plain dumb. I am pretty sure it would catch on stuff as well.
I will continue building the rack, but I am not sure if it will get used much.
