Ok I tore into the axles of a trailer I just bought. It has eazy lube axles which means it has a grease zerk on the end of the spindle which feeds greas back between the rear bearing and seal. Well the greas blew past the real seal and there is grease inside the brake drum. A little grease got on the brake shoes.
My question is will brake cleaner get it off the shoes or not? I know it will take it off the surface but will it get any that might have soaked in? The shoes have very little wear.
