Stainless hardens with age and possibly becomes more brittle. I am not suter that I would use it unless I plan on replacing the cable on a regular basis. I could also see using it in an evironment where there is a corrosion problem but would plan on changing the cable on a regular basis.
I am speaking from knowlege of rebuilding train cars that are stainless steel. The stainless in the cars have become very hard and is difficult to drill and etc. The stainless rivits are very difficult to remove.
