I've got a 1948 Flat Fender that someone converted over to 12v and with the small block Chevy guts. When the previous owner took it apart to start the restoration process, he basically undid, or took out the wiring. There's a new nifty (expensive) fuse box under the dash, but my problem is there are no wires on the back of the alternator!! It's a newer Chevy alternator (Delco) with the two clip prongs on the side (not on the back), one larger stud out of the back waiting for a bolt and a wire, and the internal voltage regulator. I only have a wiring schematic of an older Power Wagon (generator, voltage regulator) so my question is… what do I hook this up to so the alternator does its job?!?! Mind you, there is nothing to just clip on the alternator, if you can help me, please talk to me like I'm a third grader (talking electronics with me, I hear, "Blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah…") and know that there is no wiring harness so to speak so we're starting from scratch here.
Thanks in advance to any and all that can help. When it runs right now, it's all battery!
