Thanks Vaughn. I dug up some old pages sent to me 40 years ago from a guy at Braden Winch. The exploded views are sometimes misleading, but after looking at them closely I would have to agree with you. And what DC posted is pretty clear, too. Thanks.
I apparently have the 2 nuts on the right side of the fork, but they need to be moved to the end of the link closest to the drag brake assembly and I need to remove the single nut.
I am not sure how to interpret this quote from the link I posted on Paul Kempner's page: "Drag Brake tension is provided by the Drag Brake Spring (Item 10) and is adjusted with two nuts on the Drag Brake Link (Item 8). The Link goes through the hole in the lug cast onto the Shifter Fork and shown in alignment with the Spring. The two nuts on the link actually go on the Fork end of the Link and one is a jam nut for the other after the tension is set. The other end of the Link is held in place by the Drag Brake Link Pin (Item 5)." I was going by this information when I set mine up a couple of years ago, and it works just fine. I wonder if it really matters, functionally, where the 2 nuts are?
