Hey Marty.
A long time ago I learned about EZ Flow Lithium grease. We have had lots of discussions on the comparison of that product and John Deere corn head grease. I have used both and they definitely are similar, although the EZ Flow seems to be a little more fluid than the JD stuff. The ability to follow the gears and bearings instead of getting thrown out to the side is the main issue.
My first experience with EZ Flow was with a Dana transfer case in a Ford about 40 years ago. The leak was around one of the output seals. I didn't want to tear it down, so, at the suggestion of a friend, I drained the case and filled it with EZ Flow. No more leak. I drove the truck at least another 10 years. I have used it in steering boxes, winches, and front hubs, all of which had minor leaks, and all of which soon had no more leaks. It's difficult to find, but Google may be able to find it for you. It was sold by a CENEX store, sort of nationwide here in the TUS (Trumped-Up States).
