Snap rings in differnt thickness? Or a shim?

Tranny kits often come with snap rings to selective fit.

Or maybe, sealer on the yoke, snap ring it on, tighten the big nut in the other end?

Vent plugged, pushing oil out?

Does vapor pressure vary from different gear oils? Vents just not big enough for some oils monce they get hot?
