I have a 77' Ambulance with 318, 727, Dana 44 full-time front w/ 4.10 gears Dana 66 rear, i take the truck on 300 mile 1 way trips up north, on the freeway travelling at 70 MPH (3000 rPM on the Tach.) I usually average 15 MPG , & this is with an old military truck with the added weight of an ambulance box!
