Copperkote on head gaskets?

I always use copperkote on the metal head gaskets. The 315 that my Girl Scout Troop is rebuilding will be getting the heads on it this meeting. The gaskets are modern looking, kind of look like graphite. Would it be a good thing or a bad thing to use copperkote on that type of gasket?
