Seal Replacement in Transfer Case

The seal for the rear driveshaft on my 54 FFPW is leaking. What is the best way to replace it?

Is it possible to replace it without removing the transfer case?

Vehicle is number 888 in the registry. Thought I would do some additional repair before having the body repainted!
