Well diesel are usually fairly loud. The cummins is a loud engine. It is a truck and not a cadilac and you can here a cummins comin from at least a half a mile off. It is very loud and sounds good. If the noise is to loud for you you might look into the V10 if they still make that all my research lately has been into the cummins so i don't know. But the power you gain far outweighs the noise
