Go with the 440, you will never be able to turn the GG tires (I assume these are the 11-18s you are talking about) with a flathead and 4.88s, much less 4.10s. The Dana 60s would be the way to go since they have disk brakes. Front brake parts for the Dana 70 are a bear to find. If you stay with 5.83s, run 11-16 tires and don't expect to go faster than 55, you could most likely keep the flathead 6. Just my opinions from my experiences.
