This sitution is similar to mine in some ways. I have a WC half ton that I'm also assembling from parts from more than one truck. However in my case, I do have have a civilian cab (at least I think so) because it has the fuel filler hole on the drivers side and and crank out window instead of the mililitary window mechanism. However, I do know that on the earliest wc's they used cabs with civilian gauges and may have had crank out windows. I doubt if they left the fuel filler hole since they all had rear mounted fuel tanks. That being said, I will cover over the filler hole and accept that its a civilian cab and no it won't be totally authentic. For my purposes its fine and I plan to either paint it dark red or tan. All depends if I want a "street truck or desert truck". Since that job is years away, its not really an issue for me yet.
