McCreary tires are carried by two local dealers here in
Logan,UT. I had never heard about them before either and
in looking on the net I find they have been around
for more than 80 years, building airplane, heavy equipment
and racing tires. The tread design form my point of view is
an agressive all season design, 8ply tire. I was quoted an
out the door price for 5 ,mounted balanced, taxes etc of $724.
I had a hard time finding 900-16s locally and only three dealers
that would fool around with split rims, infact the dealer I finally
got to mount the military style tires on my combat rims
wouldn't fill them with air, I had to at home. I'll let you
know how they turn out.
Thanks Dave for the paint info. I had ordered a number of books
and the one you mentioned was among them so I had it under my nose.
