I seem to have caught PW fever. I decided long ago that the replacement for my late model pickup would be a classic vehicle. I've been trying to decide what I would like for a while, but even some of the classics seemed run of the mill. Until I discovered Dodge Power Wagons! I'm thinking of getting a WM300, but I was wondering if there is any real advantage to getting a more recient PW (other than less years of wear), especially if I upgrade the brakes to a dual system anyway. Are there any other major upgrade to reliability/safety/comfort over the production life of the flat fenders?
Also it seems (to me at least) that M37s are more available than the flat fenders and possibly run a bit less expensive for the same or better quality. Both have their appeal for me (and getting both right now is out of the question), so I was wondering what the pratical difference between the two are.
So, any pointers on which vehicle to get, or what to look for when examing a potential purchase (specific to PWs, above and beyond typical used car pointers) would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Allan
