De-greaser advice needed please!

Finally got the rear drums/hubs pulled off the ’49. Need some advice on both products and/or technique to remove the 50+ years of grease/mud/tar. Preferably something spray-on-hose-off, but I know that’s dreaming ;-)

On the front axle I pulled the backing plates off and soaked them for ~1 week before cleaning, but seeing as the rears are riveted on that’s not an option. I will eventually be sand blasting the backing plates but need to get all that build-up off first.
